ReplyDelete[Sorry for the delay in this post] The Komoroski crew would like to thank everyone for the opportunity to stay at BSC 10/5-10/7. Madeline (8 yo), Nathan (3 yo) and myself spent the weekend in the tent while the other wimps (Nathan's comment not mine) slept inside. Kevin was nice enough to put up with us. Kevin found a bunch of wood that we cut, split and stacked on the front porch. The kids even helped.
ReplyDeleteWe hiked Parker Dam on Saturday, played several rousing games of cornhole, saw a butt-load of deer and cooked a kick-a steak dinner on Sat. eve. Stars were great both nights and saw a bunch of bats (which the kids loved).
Hunting season was a little less crowded this year. The first weekend we only had David,Andrew, Arron, Ken, Hayden and Kevin. Opening day had 4 hunters with Aaron not wanting to get cold and shooting his 8 point at 6:50. About 10Am Arron, Ken and Hayden left for home leaving Kevin to head back out to get his 6 point at 11AM. Wednesday Eric and Jim H came up to join the hunt with Jim G attending Thursday night. There wasn't much to be seen during the week. All in all it ended up as a decent season with snow that was on the ground most of the week and 2 bucks being taken. It was voted that ones that had a break in service will have to start anew with dish duties. The many that didn't attend were missed and things didn't quite seem the same. Hopefully next year will see more in attendance and just as good of luck in the harvest.
ReplyDeleteThis is a little dated--we were up to camp over the holidays--lots of snow, but a great trip. Met the folks from the Greenwood Lodge up over the hill from the parking lot--they have a well if ever in need of water. We helped a few of their guys get into camp through the snow--they said come buy whenever.
ReplyDeleteAt camp are 20 Gallons of Gas, 5 Gallons of Kerosene, under 1 full tank of propane, and some firewood.
Also, I accidentally took the Out House/Generator room Keys Home, please call me at 412-302-1179, if you plan to head up to camp.
Pam and Jeff will be at camp 10/17 -10/21. Planning to power wash and do some other tasks. Will update after the trip
